Alberta
Finance and Enterprise
is
responsible for business and fiscal planning, intergovernmental
fiscal arrangements, tax policy, economic analysis
and statistics, public pension policy, and the regulation
of financial and insurance institutions, and Alberta-registered
Pension Plans. Finance and Enterprise is also responsible for the administration of tax and revenue
collection, the Alberta Heritage
Savings Trust Fund and the Alberta Securities Commission.

Ministry Financial Units
are
responsible for: budget and planning functions,
including identifying budget requirements, allocating
budgets within organizations, preparing forecasts
and providing trend and variance analysis; development,
interpretation and implementation of financial policies;
preparation of financial statements, including supporting
working papers and financial analysis; development
of ministry strategic audit strategies and liaison
with the Office of the Auditor General; and the development
and implementation of strategic administrative initiatives.

Service Alberta

Finance Section of Service Alberta provides financial-related
transactional / administrative and professional /
advisory services. These services include, for
